This week marks a special moment, as I’d like to introduce you all to my latest creative and professional endeavour: Held in Form
Over the past few months, I’ve been working with the brand founder Simon in researching Japanese artisanal fabrics, interpreting vintage design langauges and sourcing from across Vancouver to Shanghai.
The result is Held in Form, equal parts menswear brand and educational platform. It is our ode to design histories across cultures and time, and our dedication to researching and documenting these practices - while offering our own interpretations of timeless concepts.
Coming Soon: video content and articles diving deep into references and process, as well as our inaugural capsule collection coming later this fall.
While we’ll be updating the HIF Substack monthly with feature in-depth articles, join us on TikTok and Instagram for more consistent updates on this journey.
In the interim, check out some scenes from our previous factory trip in China -
Held In Form is the in-house label of Porta Asiatica, a Shanghai based product development and sourcing agency.
