Welcome to Final_Final_Final, an on-going series focused on the documentation of inspiration, references and digital ephemera.
Every week, Raeland or a close friend of the newsletter shares a moodboard of 10 images along with a brief commentary.
Logging On is a weekly sprint through the timeline — Raeland Mendoza filters the noise into his takes on fashion, media, music, and whatever is moving the needle.
Expect the weekly titular column, sharp personal essays, guest features with industry friends, and enough taste to hold you over until the next big algorithm shift.
MOODBOARD OF THE WEEK: BY ME
I’m reminded that so much of creative work is about finding the tension in things - design, visuals, ideas as a whole. Usually the beauty of whatever it is you’re trying to work on/create/build lays in its contradictions.
This weeks moodboard is a visual representation of that: heritage vs. contemporary, utility vs. aesthetics, ruggedness vs. softness, motion vs. stillness.
Raeland is a Creative Director amongst other things in Vancouver.
